SHEILA MASON...10 April 1950 - 24 November 2005.
Partner of John, loving and loved mom, nan, sister, auntie and friend.
Sheila died from breast cancer, aged just 55.
She faced her 12mth battle with courage, dignity and laughter. She hid from us how ill she really
was and her very last words were, "Make sure my wig's on straight,"!

Over the Rainbow, beyond the stars
In that beautiful garden above
Surrounded by loved ones, who went on before
Now at peace in God's gracious love
I know you'll be waiting , til my work is done
For there's more here on earth I must do
There's comfort in knowing when God calls my name
I'll cross over the Rainbow...to you

Please do not be unhappy, just because I’m out of sight
Remember I am with you every morning noon and night.
The day I had to leave you, when my life on earth was through
God picked me up and hugged me and said I welcome you.
I will be beside you every day, week and year,
And when you’re sad I’m standing there to wipe away the tear.
To my very many friends trust God knows what is best,
I’m still not far away from you, I’m just beyond the crest.
And when you are walking down the street and you’ve got me on your mind
I’m walking in your footsteps, only half a step behind.
There are rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb
But together we can do it, taking one day at a time.
I heard the news today, mom...Uncle Les has come to join you. After so much suffering, he's now free from pain - just like you are. I'd say you're pleased to see him and I'm sure you'll give him a warm welcome. Be close to Auntie Lillian. I love you mom xxx
I'm so sorry for your loss Faye this vile disease really destroys lives doesn't it. I don't believe in heaven or that they go to a better place i don't think there's any place better for them than alive here with us. I do however sometimes get a strange feeling that she's close by so perhaps your mom will see you get married one day.....you never know.
Anyway when my mom died someone sent me this poem that i would now like to share with you.
'If Only.....'
If only you had told me Mum
Before we had to part
just how i'd ever find a way
To heal my broken heart
I know that you'd have found the words
To help me understand
Just how i'd carry on
Without my dear Mum's guiding hand
If only you could hold me Mum
To dry these tears i cry
Then perhaps it wouldn't hurt so much
For me to say.........GOODBYE
Take care & keep smiling :0)
